Priyal Patel, serving as the AmeriCorps VISTA for the Sustainability Business Forum, will assist Hawaii Green Growth in advancing network building, partner engagement, and poverty reduction through the development of the Sustainability Business Forum (SBF) and its working groups. Priyal holds a double major in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behaviors and Environmental Business Economics from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where she was honored with the Dr. George F. Clark Academic Excellence and Service Award for her outstanding work. During her studies, she demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability by managing the EPIB Trail, the environmental newsletter for her major. Her professional experience includes an ESG internship at Diligent, where she analyzed Scopes 1-3 data, and a role as a Brownfields and Sustainable Systems Intern at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, where she authored memos and conducted policy research. Priyal completed the Climate Reality Leadership Training in New York and aspires to continue being a strong environmental leader.
